This transfer of the second D'Oyly Carte recording of Princess Ida is one of the best obtainable. The success of this project is largely due to the use of excellent 78 rpm records from the collections of Marc Lewis of New York City and the late Jack Hilton of Fallbrook, CA.

This is the last four complete opera sets that featured Sir Henry Lytton, here performing the role of King Gama.
