Effective immediately we are no longer the exclusive distributor of the Sounds on CD Savoy Catalogue.

The Sounds on CD Savoy catalog is being distributed by UK-Based Music Hall Masters. Note: According to information recently given by a customer, Music Hall Masters has temporarily suspended operations.

Important Note: Effective with the end of our exclusive distribution arrangement with Sounds-on-CD, customers outside the US should contact Sounds-on-CD directly for assistance with any customer-service issues related to items not purchased from 78s2cd.com.

We continue to be your US source of licensed Sounds on CD issues of Gilbert and Sullivan and related recordings. Of particular interest to G&S lovers are the latest series of D'Oyly Carte Opera Company recordings, which producer Chris Webster has licensed from Decca. We regret that it has been necessary to withdraw virtually the entire 78s2CD catalog, as well as certain recordings from Sounds on CD. Although the underlying recordings are in the public domain in most countries, recent court rulings have made it clear that they are not in the public domain in the United States.

We have launched a new site in the UK, where we offer items from the 78s2CD catalog as downloads. Please visit our new download site!

Sounds on CD has licensed a number of recordings from the owners, including the Peter Pratt series of Decca recordings, and is, as far as we know, the only company licensed to sell these in the United States.
