Of particular interest to G&S lovers, we are the sole source of the latest series of D'Oyly Carte Opera Company recordings, which producer Chris Webster has licensed from Decca. We regret that it has been necessary to withdraw virtually the entire 78s2CD catalog and many pre-1972 recordings from Sounds on CD. Although the underlying recordings are in the public domain in most countries, recent court rulings have made it clear that they are not in the public domain in the United States.

We have launched a new site in the UK, where we are beginning to offer items from our catalog as downloads. Please visit our new download site!

Sounds on CD has licensed a number of recordings from the owners, including the Peter Pratt series of Decca recordings, and is, as far as we know, the only company licensed to sell these in the United States.
